Indigenous Reserve and Free Canoeing
On this tour we visit the Iguana farm and medicinal plant garden at the Kekoldi Indian Reserve. We continue on to the Bribri Reserve through Suretka village, located on the banks of the Telire River, where local products are marketed (plantains, bananas, chocolate, oranges, coconut, etc.). All of these products are organic. After sharing with the local residents, we go down river in canoes until we reach a riverbank where we stop for a snack (watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe, passion fruit, papaya and whatever local fruit is in season.) After the snack, we will hand out life visits and explain the method of body rafting, a very relaxing sport. We will float downstream about 4 or 5 kilometers in class one waters, deep water free of tree trunks and rocks. The canoe will accompany the group of rafters. After the river float, we will return to Suretka where we will enjoy a typical lunch before returning to the hotel.
