Carara National Park
Carara is the area of transition between the tropical dry and humid forest which offers one of the highest biodiversity on the country. There are two trails: Las Aráceas a short 800 meters walk and Laguna Meándrica a healthy 4000 meters. The endangered scarlet macaws among other exotic birds can be seen nesting on huge old trees protected as well, which makes this reserve a birdwatcher paradise!
