Xandari Resort and Spa

Xandari Resort & Spa consists of 19 spacious villas on a 40 acre coffee and fruit plantation overlooking Costa Rica's Central Valley... the creation of architect Sherrill Broudy and artist Charlene Broudy, who envisioned and reflecting the natural beauty of Costa Rica. The villas, private terraces, furniture and gardens are designed with great attention to detail, and each villa is adorned with original works of art. All villas have a private view terrace, a walled-in sun area, a bar kitchen, and either a king bed or two full beds.

Xandari Resort & Spa is a tropical paradise of 22 individually designed villas nestled on a 40 acre plantation overlooking the Central Valley of Costa Rica, and only 20 minutes from the San Jose International Airport. At an elevation of 3900 feet (1200 meters), Xandari enjoys a near–perfect temperature of around 70 degrees Fahrenheit all year.

Villas

 Each spacious villa, surrounded by gardens, has a large view terrace for enjoying the sunset and lights of the valley at night, plus a walled–in terrace for privacy and solitude.

Spa

Our spa village is set in a tropical garden and includes 5 private palm–roofed jalapas with jacuzzis and a picturesque view of the Central Valley. Enjoy a massage, mud wrap, facial, and various exotic body treatments with a distinctive Costa Rican flavor.

Dining

Our indoor/outdoor restaurant features a healthy continental and Costa Rican menu. Many of the fruits and vegetables are from our own organic greenhouse, orchard and gardens. Dine in intimate and elegant simplicity while enjoying a panoramic view of the Central Valley.

Swimming

Swim in one or two 60ft. long lap pools, or our 125ft. long sunset pool overlooking the Central Valley. Sunbathe on the pool terraces.

Art

Original art is everywhere at Xandari… paintings, tapestries, mosaics, quilts, stained glass, collage, sculpture

Gardens and Trails

Stroll through botanic gardens interspersed with sculpture. A wide range of plants are identified. Hike over 4 kilometers of private scenic trails to intimate river vistas and dramatic waterfalls. Visit our orchid house and greenhouse.

Environmental Program

Xandari is dedicated to a comprehensive program to diminish the environmental impact of our hotel operations and to return much of the land to its original natural beauty. Participate in this program by planting a tree.
