Poco a Poco Hotel
Hotel Poco a Poco is located close to the town of Santa Elena in Monteverde. Its name means "little by little", referring to how the hotel grew after a Costa Rican family started from their renovated house in 2000. Nowadays hotel Poco a Poco has 32 rooms, a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and various amenities. Only about a 5 minute walk from Santa Elena, the hotel has wonderful views of the Monteverde area.
Monteverde is world famous for its Cloud Forests. Hike around and marvel at the trees covered with bromeliads, the great variety of birds and maybe even spot a Resplendent Quetzal. Other forests in Monteverde are equally interesting to visit and thus you will see the impressive biodiversity of the area. Fun and adventure seekers can be catered to as well; try a zip line Canopy Tour and find yourself flying through the tree tops along a system of cables. The Monteverde Cheese Factory has tours to explain a bit more about the history of Monteverde and of course you should not miss out on the delicious cheese and ice cream. The hotel Poco a Poco has comfortable rooms to relax in after a busy day of tours and hiking in Monteverde. Unwind at the pool, rent a movie from the DVD shop or ask staff at the hotel to arrange for a relaxing massage. The hotel restaurant offers a range of traditional Costa Rican and international cuisine.
